Hi, I’m Brittany.

Looking for that sweet spot of evidence-based therapy and an authentic, genuine approach? You’re in the right place.

I’m so glad you’re here.

The Approach

Evidence-Based Trauma Therapy

I use a combination of therapies, tailored to be just right for you- because your story is unique, and your approach to healing should be too. I specialize in treating trauma, but have extensive experience in supporting clients with anxiety, chronic illness, depression, life changes, and the general weight of the human experience.

Authentic, Genuine, Human Approach

Research (and lived experiences!) tell us that while evidence-based therapy makes a strong foundation, the human behind the work matters as much, or more. My approach is warm, genuine, and focuses on building nervous system safety via co-regulation. Bottom line: you have to feel safe, heard, and seen in order for the work to work.

Eye Movement & Desensitization Therapy & Mindfulness Work

A nervous-system informed approach to desensitizing traumatic memories and improperly stored memories, and reinforcing new, adaptive, positive pathways. We often combine this with a heavy dose of self-compassion and self-acceptance.

The Modalities

Internal Family Systems (IFS) & Somatic Psychotherapy

I use these two modalities to shift abstract concepts into concrete and tangible tools to support a deeper mind-body connection and to relieve somatic and emotional symptoms. By better understanding how our bodies holds experiences, we can better engage our brains.

Cognitive-Behavioral Therapies (CBT)

For some folks and some seasons, a focus on the relationship between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors is the ticket forward. I use an eclectic blend of therapies with a CBT foundation to blaze this path with you. Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) is often a mindful way in, and Dialectic Behavior Therapy (DBT) gives insight into difficult patterns.

  • Therapy often starts with rapport-building and building up your window of tolerance. Safety serves as the foundation of all we do, and that can’t happen with a stranger. Let’s get to know one another, and then dive in when you’re ready.

  • I hope to soon! For now, all appointments are offered virtually through a secure platform, SimplePractice.

  • Great question! Therapy should be financially accessible to all. To that end, I bill sessions through a platform called Headway and am currently in-network with Cigna, Aetna, Carelon Behavioral Health, and Quest. My self-pay rates are $175/intake and $150/53 minute appointment.

  • I primarily work with adults, but occasionally work with adolescents if I am a good fit. Reach out to learn more!

  • I am licensed in Colorado and Wyoming.
